If you are in a hurry, go slowly

O lo que viene a ser: "Vísteme despacio que tengo prisa".

I learnt some years ago that when you are in a rush, It is better to slowdown, take a deep breath and be calmed. Do it as if anybody was watching you or simply as if you do not care at all. That works especially well when you are parking in a narrow place and a line of cars is coming behind you and It
can be perfectly applied to surgery.

When you are worried about anything else than do it slowly and well you can bet, that It is going to be wrong.

When I started to observe surgery, I could see many surgeons that seemed to operate really slowly, afterwards, when I looked the clock I suddenly realized that in fact the surgery was going pretty fast. Good surgeons, do not care about being fast. They do care about doing it well, and in a paradoxically way, the end up being faster, but, the most important for me, is that they work safe.

Trying to solve a problem in a fast manner, most of the times turn the problem in bigger, and you are going to need much more time to fix it (if it is still possible) than doing it slowly in your first shot.  So, do not loose you time, if you have a problem that needs to be fixed quickly, do it slowly.
